We are walking across the Humber Bridge on Saturday 15 April 2023 to raise money for our clubhouse project. Everyone is welcome, players past and present, families and friends.
The plan for the day
Meet between 1:30pm and 1:45pm at the Humber Bridge Country Park picnic area.
Parking is available off Ferriby Road, Hessle. Please walk if you can. Postcode HU13 0JG.
Start time is 2pm. We will cross on the east platform, reached by going under the bridge. That platform is closed to the public, so we need a steward to let people know they cannot use the path.
Please wear Hessle Rangers kit or training kit.
The walk over and back is roughly six miles. Young players, or anyone tired from Saturday morning games, can walk halfway and turn back. Use common sense. This is a bit of fun, not a bootcamp.
Afterwards we will gather at the picnic spot for a big group photograph. Bring a picnic, or wander down to the Country Park Inn. Last year it ended with a massive football match. Sponsor forms and the risk assessment are available from the club.
